Vocabulary is understood to be the more or less complex set of terms that make up a language or language. The vocabulary varies for each language and has as a significant characteristic that of transforming over time according to the aggregate or abandonment of some words. In order for a person to understand the vocabulary of a language, it is necessary that he be able to understand and use it. At the same time, it can also happen that some terms are understandable at the level mental but they are not easily definable in words since their use has to do more than anything with the common use of the term. However, recognizing the word only by phonetics or directly not knowing its meaning or not knowing the word implies that the term is not part of a person's vocabulary.

Normally, when you think of the term 'vocabulary', you think of the set of words used orally. However, this can be distinguished from the vocabulary written since the terms to be used in each situation and space will not be the same, the language being diverse for different types of situations.
