The characters of Romeo and Juliet, the myth of Pygmalion or the story of the movie Pretty Woman have something in common: the love felt by the protagonists is noble. They are all dominated by a force inside that they cannot control and their passion is sweet and sour at the same time.

The dark side

Love is not always linked to nobility or purity of feelings. In fact, it can be sick, as shown by crimes of passion, stories of jealousy, some vengeful attitudes caused by sentimental disappointment and, ultimately, the many faces of love harmful.

Possessive and Selfless Love: Two Sides of the Coin
