A neighborhood letter It is an identification document that is issued by the municipal authority or equivalent such as the delegate or mayor; which accredits a person as a neighbor, whether original, with a permanent resident, a new neighbor, or with habitual residence, in a specific place.

The neighborhood letter is requested by the interested person, to the municipal authority. Thus, it can also be requested by a family member or friend, previously authorized by the interested party, to carry out the corresponding procedure.

The municipal authority requests data, and documents such as:

  • Birth certificate, or, if applicable, letter of naturalization.
  • CURP (Unique Population Registry Code).
  • Electoral credential.
  • Photographs child size, current.
  • Proof of address. (Property Tax Receipts, Lease Contract, proof of payment of Electricity, Telephone or Water service, in the name of the applicant for the neighborhood letter).
  •  The payment corresponding to the requested procedure.
