    The stative verbs either state verbs in English (static verbs or state verbs) are verbs that express states and not actions. For example: baby(to be),have (have),know (know).

    The stative verbs They serve to express opinions, feelings and emotions, tastes and beliefs. They express permanent states and conditions. They do not describe movement, changes, or processes. That is why they cannot be used in continuous tenses. For example: Yo believe in God./ I believe in God. (And not: I am believing in God).
