    Example of Conversation In English In Past Simple

    Conversation in English in the past simple occurs when two or more people speak in this language about events that already happened in a previous time to the current one and finished. The past simple, expressed in English as Simple past, can understand from 1 second to the origin of the universe. This verb tense has rules that characterize it for its affirmative, negative and question forms.

    English conversation structure in the past simple affirmative

    If the conversation in English in the past simple is affirmative, the structure is used:

    Subject (noun or noun) + verb in the past + predicate or rest of the sentence

    In English it is written:

    Name or noun + verb in past tense + rest of the sentence

    For example:

    I tried to fix my schedule many times

    Translation to Spanish:

    I tried to fix my schedule several times

    Conversation structure in English in the past simple negative

    If the conversation in English in the past simple is negative, the structure is used:

    Subject (name or noun) + verb did + denier not + verb in infinitive + predicate or rest of the sentence

    In English it is written:

    Name or noun + verb did + not + verb in infinitive form + rest of the sentence

    For example:

    She didn´t realize she lost the keys

    Translation to Spanish:

    She didn't realize that she lost the keys

    If the conversation in English in the past simple is a question, the structure is used:

    Verb did + subject (name or noun) + verb in infinitive + predicate or rest of the sentence

    In English it is written:

    Verb did + name or noun + verb in infinitive form + rest of the sentence

    For example:

    Did your partners achieve the goal?

    Translation to Spanish:

    Did your teammates reach the goal?
