    Prayers

    A prayerIn grammar, it is a word or a set of words that express a meaning by themselves, so they are considered autonomous elements.

    A written sentence is characterized by always beginning with a letter capital letter and to end with a point, unless it has question marks or exclamation marks, which replaces it.

    Types of sentences

    Sentences can be classified according to different criteria:

    According to the intention of the speaker

    According to the number of members

    According to the number of predicates

    According to the voice of the verb

    Examples of hesitant sentences

    1. Maybe tomorrow I'll find out about my practical work grade.
    2. It seems to me that next month they will give us the increase.
    3. Perhaps the judge should have acted differently.
    4. It seems to me that we are going to win the game on Sunday by a landslide.
    5. Perhaps his intention was not to hurt you.
    6. We may be hired to cover the Olympics.
    7. Maybe he didn't realize that you could be offended.
    8. It can be a great idea.

    Examples of exclamatory sentences

    5. Finally they arrived!

    7. This is a disaster!
    8. I knew you would come!

    Examples of interrogative sentences

    1. Could you tell me the time?
    2. Do you think we should invite her to the theater?
    3. Could you help me tidy up the living room?
    4. Do you want me to make you breakfast?
    5. Did you listen to the latest U2 album?
    6. Do you want me to accompany you next week to buy the gift?
    7. Is it okay for me to wear sneakers to the party?
    8. What do you want to be when you grow up?
    9. How did you come to live from music?
    10. What did you learn from that adverse experience?

    Examples of wishful sentences

    1. Hopefully everything goes well in the operation.
    2. I hope you can come visit us on the weekend.
    3. Could you wait for me with dinner ready today.
    4. I would love to get to know Italy and France.
    5. I would like to vote for a new political party in the next election.
    6. In ten years I hope to be married with children.
    7. Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow.
    8. Let a lot of people come!
    9. I dream of learning many languages.
    10. I would like you to come to my birthday.

    Examples of declarative sentences

    1. I made this chicken wrap to eat on Christmas Eve.
    2. This picture was painted by my aunt Maria when she was studying Fine Arts.
    3. My favorite book is Hopscotch, by Julio Cortázar.
    4. My grandmother loves classical music.
    5. I want to hang the map on that wall.
    6. Your car windows are a bit dirty.
    7. For the biology exam you have to prepare a topic.
    8. I already got the movie tickets, so you can't refuse to go.
    9. On the weekend we are going to ride a boat on the lake.
    10. The new house is right in front of the central square.

    Examples of exhortative sentences

    1. Please don't tell my mom that I got a four on the test.
    2. Highlight the paragraphs that seem important to you.
    3. Please don't tell anyone what I told you.
    4. Approach reception when you arrive at the building.
    5. Add the butter to the mixture and stir gently.
    6. I demand that you pay me back.
    7. I ask you please calm down.
    8. You give me what is in your backpack right now.
    9. Please don't be late.
    10. Tell me the truth at once.
