Spirit is called an immaterial being endowed with reason, which can be the product of imagination, associated with religious corpus or even understood as part of the soul of an individual.

There are different conceptions of what the spirit is. The most common is the one that associates it with a non-corporeal being that occurs in various religions, but also as part of folklore of many cultures and individual beliefs.
In many cases, spirits are positive forces associated with religious doctrines, represent dogmas and divine powers. For example, in the religion Catholic there is the figure of the Holy Spirit, part of the Holy Trinity. Often this figure is graphically represented by a white dove. But the spirit is also a concept abstract which, regardless of beliefs in the supernatural, is regarded as part of a person's soul. Sometimes it is believed to be the aspect rational of the soul, although it is also used as a synonym for personality, character and human energy.
For common senseA person of great spirit is one who has the will to act, is inspired, vigorous, lively and with much encouragement.
Furthermore, the spirit in many cases is regarded as the representation of what is most essential to a being or an object.
