    A Multilateral Organization is an organization that is made up of three or more nations whose main mission will be to work together on the problems and aspects related to the countries that make up the organization in question.

    Multilateralism is a widely spread concept within International Relations since which refers to the situation of several countries working together on the same aspect or question.

    After the end of the Napoleonic invasion, this idea of ​​multilateralism began to precipitate and take hold, and with it the appearance of the different organisms multilateral organizations that would aim to work together to solve the problems of its members.

    The multilateral organization is framed within a supranational entity for what we mentioned to be made up of several countries. The end of the First World War, was the kick that prompted its birth, and already with the Second War, when the order of the world was was certainly at risk, because it was divided into two well confronted blocks, is that the need arose to create these organisms.

    The goal of multilateral organizations is to achieve global agreements in relation to issues of interest that affect the majority, such is the case of culture, trade, peace, among others.

    It is necessary to establish a regulatory framework that helps in the prevention and resolution of conflicts and also in the fact that there are countries that impose their needs and interests above the the rest.

    Main multilateral organizations

    The United Nations, The International Monetary Fund, the world Bank and the World Trade OrganizationAmong others, they are some of the best-known multilateral organizations in the world.

    The International Monetary Fund (IMF), for example, born within the framework of a convention of another multilateral organization, such as the United Nations, in 1945, has as primary objectives, avoid financial crises in the monetary systems of its member states, the promotion of exchange rate policies sustainable and cooperative at the international level, the opening of international trade and the reduction of poverty in all those countries parts. The IMF is one of the many multilateral and specialized organizations that the UN. It currently has 185 members and its headquarters resides in Washington D.C.

    Consequence of globalization

    Without a doubt, multilateralism is the logical effect of a globalized world in which the interdependence among the nations. We must also say that it is a hyper-positive proposal because it forces nations to maintain dialogue to reach an agreement and some countries are prevented from having an excess of can.

    But we cannot ignore some issues that we find ourselves against, and that is that there are not always and agreements between Nations, or failing that, agreements are not respected in the end and then many conflicts end up lengthening in time.
